Abstrakt

Regular home visits by a pastor are difficult in today's society; some persons question the continued validity of this practice. This study of the history, theology, and practice of regular pastoral calling concludes that such calling is still an important part of the church's life. There is a discussion of the place of 'God-talk' and other spiritual resources in calling. Interviews, a questionnaire, and a journal of the author's experience in calling form the basis of the study.
