Abstrakt

Formation of women for ministry within the evangelical tradition is studied in this project. A survey of women students and alumnae of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary was taken to determine how they experience their call to and preparation for ministry. Results are combined with a review of the history of women students at Gordon-Conwell from 1970 to 1990. Formational needs and issues for women are studied. Specific conclusions and recommendations are offered to promote the partnership of women and men in all areas of the seminary with the goal of providing all students the best possible formation for Christian ministry.
