Abstrakt

This project explores the issues and dynamics of congregational conflict, seeking an alternative model to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's Congregational and Pastoral Profile. Congregational conflict reflects influences of cultural individualism. Baptism forms the church's model for identity and ministry, while congregations function within a family system with emotional needs. A new paradigm of questions incorporates relational dynamics of the community that identify potential 'red flags' in the call process.
