Abstrakt

The aim of this project is to help people better understand the ways in which the love of money can ruler their lives. To this end, a questionnaire entitled 'MONEYMATTERS' was developed as a tool to help ministers and Christian counselors determine the underlying motives and accompanying behaviour patterns which govern a person's use of money and in fact, their whole outlook on life. Case studies showed that the tool could be used effectively in the counseling of persons with chronic money and gambling problems as well as those who wanted to better understand the ruling motivations of their life.
