Abstract
  • This model in ministry implemented at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan, focused the biblically attested responsibility of the local church to assume educational stewardship over its non-staff clergy. The ultimate result of application of the model was to establish, as a line item in the church budget, a self-perpetuating needs-based educational financial aid fund for seminarians. The methodology included content analysis of audio tape recordings, open interviews, and survey research. The effective combination of transformation leadership principles, intercession and biblical instruction resulted in the establishment of the fund.
