- Abstract
- This study addresses the need for Catholic school spiritual leadership by designing a catholic identity faculty development curriculum that promotes respectful dialogue among Catholic and non-Catholic faculty and staff members. Chapter one describes the post-Vatican II Catholic identity controversy. Chapter two explores the inclusive spirit of Vatican II as the theological foundation for this model of ministry. Chapter three describes the learning design incorporating five Catholic identity themes that enable inclusive exploration of Catholic identity. Chapter four discusses the results of an evaluation experience in which participants sampled activities from the curriculum. Chapter five identifies recommendations for further development. The appendix provides the full curriculum working draft.
