Abstrakt

Among the most critical challenges facing church leaders in the twent-first century is that of effectively equipping laypeople to minister. A model that will effectively assist pastors in the mobilization of Christians into twenty-first century church ministry is the team-based model. This model best addresses the ecclesiological mandates within the twenty-first century cultural terrain. The researcher sought to determine if a positive relationship existed between equipping lay leaders with teambuilding models, principles and skills, and developing church workers who are more effective and fulfilled in ministry in Pentecostal churches in the Northeastern United States. The findings of this project indicate a positive relationship exists between an increased understanding of biblical teambuilding models, principles and skills in the life of the Christian worker and a more effective and fulfilling ministry experience.
