Abstrakt

Bethel Baptist Church sought increased effectiveness in the areas of evangelism and discipleship. The academic research, field research, and pilot cells of this project indicated that transitioning from a program-based structure of large-group, building-centered, pastor-led gatherings to a cell-based structure of small-group, home-centered, lay-led gatherings would increase focused prayer, evangelistic initiatives, training, encouragement, and accountability for reaching the lost, as well as increase available places to insert new believers for spiritual care. Hence, BBC's leadership chose to transition from a program-based to a cell-based structure for improving evangelism and discipleship.
