Abstrakt

This project proposes to disciple church attendees in their understanding of Christ and the church. The writer presents a transferable orientation program to enhance the commitment level of people in the local church. Six practical teaching lessons instruct people about Christ and his relationship to the church, guide attendees into active involvement in church ministries, teach them the biblical basics and benefits of membership, and help those who are ready to take that step of involvement. Pre-test and post-test questionnaires measure commitment level. The project discloses that the participants' increased understanding of the church enhanced their commitment.
