Abstrakt

This project concentrates specifically on the leadership training seminar employed by BEE International, entitled 'Leadership: Empowering the Next Generation.' The project assesses leadership needs of the church in Eastern Europe, evaluates the seminar in light of those needs, and recommends changes to improve the seminar. Assessment of the pastoral leadership situation and resulting leadership needs in evangelical churches of post-communist Eastern Europe is accomplished through a Pastoral Leadership Survey. Case studies of three seminar participants evaluate the possiblility of significantly addressing these needs through a four-day seminar on the subject of pastoral leadership. These case studies, augmented by interviews, were used to determine the practical effectiveness of the seminar. Evaluation led to recommendation of appropriate changes.
