Abstrakt

This project provides Protestant prison inmates with a Linkage Directory--including churches, secular agencies, and ministry organizations--that connects prisoners with the church. Criminological literature documents lower rates of recidivism when linkage between former offenders and churches is established. Jesus' ministry to the poor, implications of the biblical jubilee, biblical social ethics, and the historical treatment of offenders justify and compel prison ministry.
