Abstrakt

Most congregations desire to see their ministry move into more lives. Can the addition of professional staff bring this about? This thesis is a review of seven churches that have multi-staff ministry settings. Five of the churches used to be solo-pastorates in their recent past. The impact of the addition of staff members to these churches is evaluated. The research discovered adding staff does impact the numerical and spiritual growth of congregations. However, the reviews point out that the dynamics of adding staff are difficult to measure, and that there can be significant difficulty in the process.
