Abstrakt

The thesis of this project is that God's Word will not be co-opted to save a church in decline, but will work a work of grace nonetheless. The project focuses on the work of preacher and parish groups as they own the perplexing reality of exile from the surrounding culture. The ten sermons of the study face the challenge of moving faith from the known ways of the church, to faith in the Holy One, whose ways are not our ways. While the church is not saved, God is nevertheless experienced as faithful.
