Abstrakt

There is a tension between the Christian ideal of living and the present day practices, tension caused in part by a limited understanding and practice of the Church's discipline. This project will explore ways of sharing and applying canonical aspects of the sacraments of the Orthodox Church in a parish setting. Through sacraments the faithful get closer to God and are blessed with the power of the Holy Spirit. A series of lectures and surveys will help participants in the study to learn more about the sacraments and to strengthen their commitment toward the fullness of Christian life.
