  • Servant leadership across distance and cultures: a new paradigm for twenty-first century global leaders
Abstrakt
  • The researcher addressed the lack of a distance leadership paradigm to prepare servant leaders to lead well across distance and cultures within Campus Crusade for Christ's global level of leadership. Research explored servant leadership, distance leadership, and cross-cultural leadership. Field interviews with more than 80 global leaders suggested that effective global leaders (a) employ servant leadership by humbly serving and developing others into mature, autonomous leaders, (b) overcome relational distance and build trust using advanced communications technology, and (c) grow in self-awareness of cultural bias. Findings supported biblical servant leadership and the GLOBE study's culturally endorsed leadership theory (CLT).
