- This research investigates the distinctive contextual themes demonstrated in a local Coptic Orthodox Parish in the United States (Church A), which underscore patterns of racial exclusivity by ethnic Egyptian Orthodox believers. In so doing, this paper will classify the historical pedigrees and generational progression of racial biases against non-Egyptians in the Coptic Orthodox Church. Additionally, this paper will seek to maintain the rhythmic interplay of dogma and Biblical substantiation at the forefront of consideration, specifically drawing on trinitarian theology, deification, and the teachings of Paul to the Gentile and Jewish believers in Ephesus. The paper will then answer the following question: What are actionable, concrete measures that can be implemented within this parish (Church A) to transform the culture by fostering a more racially united Church environment that engages individuals from non-Egyptian ethnic backgrounds in the sacramental and communal life of the Church?
