Abstrakt

The purpose of the project was to lead the congregation of Springhill Baptist Church (Franklinton, La) to rediscover and make application of its purpose as expressed in its mission. Thirteen church members participated in a program of study and planning. The study involved five sermons, ten classes, and four planning sessions. The study group developed and the church approved a statement of church purpose with goals and objectives for 1990. At the conclusion of the project the congregation demonstrated a clear understanding of the church's purpose.
