  • The purpose of this project was to provide First Southern Baptist Church of Dover, Delaware, with a process to assimilate adult members beyond traditional methods. The project involved researching existing assimilation strategies through readings, church surveys, and interviews; developing an assimilation strategy based on research conclusions; and presenting the strategy to the church members. The project director recruited church members to review materials, evaluate results, and consider the advice of assimilation experts. The proposed assimilation strategy was influenced by models designed by other church leaders. However, it is an original strategy founded on the vision of First Southern Baptist Church.
