- This project develops an introductory mission curriculum for the local church that challenges the evangelism/social responsibility dichotomy. The curriculum is designed to integrate a wholistic mission theology with an understanding of contemporary world issues. Throughout the curriculum, the Lausanne Covenant is used as a backdrop against which contemporary world situations are viewed, thus forming mission imperatives for the 1990's. The results from pre-test and post-test evaluations concluded that that attitudes of the participants shifted dramatically toward mission wholism, but the wholistic mission knowledge base of the elders did not increase significantly.
