Abstrakt

This dissertation-project is the background material that prepares one for the production of a multi-media kit (slides-filmstrip and audio cassette). The kit's purpose is to prepare local church laity and clergy to creatively use television to present their understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The project presents original research, national surveys, current bibliographic resources, educational and communication theories and a confessional-theological statement supporting television as a viable tool for the local church's mission and ministry. The project includes a local church television producers' workshop and talent identifier to assist in production from concept to final television production.
