Abstrakt

The thesis-project is a study of the liturgical inculturation of ancestor veneration in Vietnam. The focus of this research is on the relationship between the Eucharist and the celebration of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, particularly with regard to ancestor veneration during the first three days of Tết. The project paper is a response to the question of how to liturgically include ancestor veneration in the celebration of Mass on the occasion of Tết, which for the Vietnamese is the most important cultural festivity of the year.
