Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to equip a select group of high school students, who were members of Deltona Lakes Baptist Church (DLBC), Deltona, Florida, to lead small group Bible studies using a prepared lesson. The project director identified and enlisted student members who have displayed an affinity for leadership and who were members of DLBC to participate in training to lead a small group Bible study. The training focused on equipping students, who are given a lesson plan, to lead a group of their peers in studying Scriptures at an age-appropriate level of competence. Evaluation of the project director's growth and the effectiveness of the training occurred at the conclusion of the training event. Project assessment was conducted by using course evaluation, signing a commitment card, and comparing a pre-test with a post-test.
