Abstrakt

Knowing the dynamics of congregation is vital to the understanding of the corporate body called the people of God. Understanding the dynamics of a particular congregation is no less important. This study is concerned with an aspect of particular congregations: congregations grieve. It explores the nature of congregation and the nature of grief. It argues that congregations grieve as one. It shows ways to identify that grief, and pictures the dynamics of three congregations in grief. It offers insights to the dynamics of that grief, and presents a method of helping congregations who are grieving.
