Abstrakt

This project describes and analyzes ecological awareness in the Korean immigrant context of the church, naming cultural and theological assumptions which impede the development of an ecologically aware theology. This report explores the author's efforts to discover an effective way to introduce such a theology to his congregation, using sallim ministry and the practice of Shimbeng to suggest new ways of thinking and to bolster and reinterpret exiting cultural and theological practices.
