Abstrakt

This ministry project sought to enhance the spiritual health of postmodern individuals through an introduction to the Ante-Nicene era and to practices of spiritual discipline. The project also explored the importance of the Pastor's work as a spiritual coach with individuals and intergenerational small groups. Participants positively benefited from exposure to the lives and influences of the Church Fathers and to spiritual practices such as fasting and prayer. The project motivates the continued pursuit of spiritual formation as a relational journey of faith and accountability. Further, the Pastor is encouraged to reshape ministry with renewed emphasis on spiritual direction.
