Abstrakt

The project utilized 1 Timothy as an instruction manual for local church ministry. 1 Timothy was used to evaluate congregational life. A preaching series and small group discussions generated insgihts into the strengths and weaknesses of the particular church. Group evaluations were shared with the governing board of the church. Suggestions for possible implementation were communicated to various boards, staff, and teams. Goals and objectives were set in accordance with these conclusions. The resulting suggestions, plans and insights helped the congregation shape its ministry in biblically informed ways for greater health and vitality in all areas covered in 1 Timothy.
