  • This doctoral project aims to recommend a ministry paradigm (parallel, separate, or multilingual) for Sacramento Chinese Baptist Church. The study of four large North American Chinese churches will provide case studies profiles in order to learn what ministry paradigms are being used to minister to diverse, multicultural congregations. The project conclusion is that parallel ministry paradigm has the most to recommend for any growing Chinese church with multiple worship congregations and multiple pastoral staff. This ministry model proves to be the most supportive of building church unity as well as most sensitive to the need of homogeneous language ministries.
