Abstrakt

The author carried on a four-month case study examination of people who had terminated career membership with the largest Protestant missionary organization in existence. She then examined personnel structures from this retrospective stance. She drew conclusions pertaining to each department which will promote care of personnel and accomplishment of the task for which the mission exists--Bible translation. The author concludes that the organization's low termination rate (1.296 percent) highlights their current proactive management procedures. To maintain this low loss rate will require specific attention to care of personnel as suggested by 41 recommendations in the concluding chapter.
