  • Living Hope Community Church is a church planting effort in the racially transitioning village of South Holland, Illinois. In this project the writer narrates the theological and sociological factors that are shaping the ministry of Living Hope Community Church and discusses the theological and sociological foundations for church planting. The writer also draws conclusions for his church planting ministry from the following areas: academic research in church planting in general, academic research in church planting in the African American community in particular, neighborhood surveys, and personal interviews.
