Abstrakt

The purpose of this thesis is to establish a biblical foundation for transformational leadership training, to implement that training in Inter-Varsity using both experiences and mentoring, and to evaluate the effectiveness of that training. It will begin by learning from biblical teaching and leadership archetypes as well as best practices among renewal movements. A program for development of staff and supervisors is implemented: (1) national student leadership conference, (2) internship, (3) staff training in fundamentals, (4) regional staff training, (5) NVEST, (6) emerging leaders, and (7) MD training. A second concentration will be revising the supervisory job descriptions to emphasize mentoring and development of the people who report to the supervisor.
