Abstrakt

This study was done at Coliseum Park Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas, on the effects of spiritual direction improving relationships in congregations. Participants in study were divided into four focus groups, attending nine sessions of spiritual direction using curriculum in A spiritual formation workbook by James Bryan Smith. A self-designes questionnaire was used to measure effects of spiritual formation in the congregation. The outcome shows that using RENOVARÉ resource--an international, ecumenical, Christian not-for-profit corporation founded by Richard Foster--for spiritual renewal had significant effect in guiding participants to discover spiritual practices appropriate to their individual spiritual type.
