Abstracto

This dissertation describes a tool for providing spiritual formation resources to pastors in the SELC District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. The tool consists of ten sets of brief quotations from Christian spirituality resources, arranged topically. The author distributed the readings via e-mail and asked for reflective responses. Pre- and post-assessment surveys revealed that participants grew in appreciation for formational reading and reflective practice, developed an increased awareness of writings in the area of spiritual formation, and grew in their awareness of their relationship with God. Participants also evaluated the tool and commended it for possible future use.
