  • Much apathy and lack of creativity exist in the local church. Much of this results from an imbalance in ministerial style. The traditional style of ministry has an excessive analytical, logical approach. What is needed is a balancing of this approach with an intuitive, relational, in-depth type of awareness. Ministry which involves a balanced awareness has many implications. Application can take place in sermon preparation, worship experiences, pastoral care, and organnizational planning. Meditative experiences are especially congruent for encouraging a balance. Consequently, the project involved a series of meditations at three locations.
