Abstrakt

This project develops and partially implements an enculturation model to help a congregation's members develop a sense of vocation as stewards. The thesis is that a broadened understanding of stewardship requires a wholistic approach to spiritual formation and the ordering of congregational life so that members experience the call to be stewards of the gifts of God. Worship is re-structured; a vocational group is formed; two study groups are offered; and adminsitration is modified, beginning with the process of adopting a congregational mission statement. Evaluation is based on narrative interviews of ten key participants in the project.
