Abstrakt

This paper looks at the question of pastoral leadership as the pastor and the congregation try to develop greater vitality in the congregation. The paper looks at James Qualben's conflict redemption process, Edwin H Friedman's Systems Model (based on Bowen theory) as it applies to congregational life, and the principles from Kennon Callahan's Twelve keys to an effective church. This paper looks at how these approaches can help the pastoral leader and the leadership of the congregation as they try to develop greater vitality in the congregation.
