Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to train church leaders in Christ-centered recovery/support group ministries. The project succeeded in four weekly training sessions by bringing change in the participants knowledge and opinions in four areas: (1) determining what recovery/support group ministry is needed in the local church community and inspiring the congregation to take ownership of the recovery/support group ministry; (2) recruiting and training of leaders/facilitators; (3) promoting recovery/support groups in the community; and (4) facilitating recovery/support group meetings.
