Drawing conclusions from such books as Primal leadership and Churches that make a difference, combined with classroom instruction and field study, the church will exercise its convening power as an act of ministry seeking solutions to the Spartanburg Community's growing drug culture. The convening power of the church will be examined as an act of ministry in accomplishing its public role. Convening power is the ability to bring together members of the community to seek the common good. This model of public responsibility stresses the role of the church and the pastor.
