- This thesis is a study of the appropriation of ministerial identity by eleven students in the Field Education Program at the University of St Michael's College. The author sought to discover whether or not such a ministerial identity appropriation took place; how students recognized such an appropriation; and to what extent the process of theological reflection in the seminar setting was critical to the act of appropriation. By analyzing written and oral responses of students, using standard procedures of qualitative research, the author discovered that the group process of theological reflection can rightly be called critical in the act of appropriation of these students.
