- The project explored how to assist older adults to accept the transition to eternal life with equanimity and anticipation. The project design consisted of interviews with pastors of older adults, a lecture-training series of encouragers to assist older adults with their transition, and feed back from encouragers and older adults about the transition ministry. My most significant findings were: (1) learning that the way one perceives death is a development stage for spiritual growth; (2) learning that talks with God helps older adults to express their deepest inner-self; and, (3) learning that transformation of one's life continues to the point of death and beyond.
