Abstrakt

This project explores public conflict between theological left and right within U.S. churches, and proposes an interaction technique known as 'dialogue' as a resource for dealing creatively with these religious conflicts. The project analyzes the point of separation between theological left and right, a history and current understanding of dialogue, models for dialogue, and potential obstacles to dialogue. Within this framework it proposes an original set of guidelines for persons engaging in dialogue. An appendix lists organizations, videos, and printed materials that are additional resources for dialogue.
