Abstrakt

The Role of Preaching Scripture in Promoting Revival provides a theological basis for understanding revival and how preaching God's Word contributes to fostering it. The author researched biblical texts, church history and contemporary evidence in order to examine the relationship between revival and preaching Scripture. A series of twelve sermons and interaction with a focus group in the author's church formed the immediate context in which the project was carried out. As a result of the research conducted, it was determined that the preaching of Scripture does play a vital role in promoting revival.
