Abstrait
  • Bicultural liberative education enhances other models of transformative education as it offers a pedagogy for liberating the non-poor from the ways their culture is oppressive both to them and the poor. It is a pedagogy that 'conscientizes' the non-poor to myths concerning the poor through cross-cultural engaging experiences, as well as exposes and examines underlying ideologies and world view assumptions that support these myths. Observations and reflections from the educator and college students provide the evidence supporting the effectiveness of the model.
