Abstrakt

The research was designed to investigate the effectiveness of a mentoring program for the development of Christian spiritual formation of ninth grade confirmation students. Questionnaires were given at the beginning and at the end of the program. The results of the questionnaires indicated that students grew in their Christian faith as demonstrated by an increase in discernible discipleship habits. The liturgy helped facilitate that end. The mentors developed relationships with the mentorees that empowered them to grow in their Christian faith. Both student mentorees and mentors indicated that they saw growth in spiritual formation of students during the confirmation process.
