  • The rapid increase in Chinese Christians in Canada over the past two decades has led to the growth of Chinese mega-churches; however the Chinese Christian body in now experiencing problems in keeping their Canadian-born Chinese (CBC) Christian youth from drifting away. The primary purpose of this phenomenological study is to capture and describe their lived experiences from an emic perspective by conducting a one-year field research that utilized a sequential procedure of applying mixed research methods. The researcher discovered the construction of universal identity and the use of social media and information technology in evangelism. She also heard the urgent cry for spiritual support for a growing CBC youth population. She realized the effectiveness of experiencing life together through the contextualization of current Chinese youth ministry among Chinese churches to train them in group evangelism engaging in CBC Christian youth ministry.
