  • The purpose of the project was to create a discipleship strategy that partners parents and the student ministries at First Baptist Church, New Albany, Mississippi. I selected and trained a strategy team in discipleship methods to aid in the process of crafting a discipleship strategy. The strategy was informed by research of discipleship models, best practices gleaned from those models, and an internal questionnaire to determine implementation needs within the church. Following the training and presentation of my research, the strategy team aided me in creating the strategy specific to the context of First Baptist. I, along with the strategy team, presented the strategy to three age-based committees for their approval. Their vote marked the conclusion of the project.
