  • The church in Madras has realized its importance of equipping mature lay people to carry the burdens of fellow believers. Local churches need to become healing communities for hurting people in the society. The hypothesis of this project is that, through an equipping program, participants would experience self-worth, confidence and affirmation of their spiritual gifts. As a result, more people would volunteer to help others and there would be qualitative and quantitative church growth. This study is based mainly on library research. In the near future Calvary Baptist Church will execute this project, evaluate its findings and tailor an appropriate program.
