Abstrakt

The author explored the means of locating a more faithful and helpful union between stories of the Gospel of Mark and the stories of our lives. He first sought a union utilizing only a 'narrative caricature' -- a similar dominant theme or situation. He then exegeted both stories on the criteria of context, claim and call. He found a stronger, more faithful and helpful union between the gospel stories and our lives stories when the congregational story answered the call offered by the gospel story.
