Abstrakt

This project sought to engage the baby boomers at Saint Luke's Episcopal Parish, Darien, Connecticut, in adult education. The project had four components. First, the author used the marketing tools of surveys and focus groups to listen to the boomers. Second, she created a three-tiered educational structure. Track 1 included lectures on the Bible and ethics. Track 2 employed book studies to develop a spiritual language. Track 3 focused on prayer techniques. Third, the courses were designed using professional teaching models. Lastly, the author evaluated the structure via surveys and interviews. The response indicated that the boomers had successfully been engaged in adult education.
