Abstrakt

This is a study on the author's ministry at the Seventeenth Street Baptist Church (Anniston, Alabama) over the last thirty-four years, his efforts to move the church and its witness into being engaged in solving the social ills in our community--and particularly the African American community. In addition, for the past 18 years the author has worked as Executive Director of the Community Action Agency. The thesis attempts to evaluate programs and the underlining theology and sociology.
