Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to equip the church council of First Southern Baptist Church, Hutchinson, Kansas in basic strategic planning skills. The project director researched the field of strategic planning. Basic skills for effective planning were identified. The project director also researched the field of curriculum development. The information gained from researching both fields was used to develop appropriate strategic planning curriculum. Twenty-four learners attended the equipping sessions. The church council members represented varying degrees of past exposure to strategic planning. Evaluation of the overall effectiveness of project implementation relied on pre and post training surveys.
